As parents we try to do our best by our children. It isn't always easy and we don't always get it right but we do our best. Our children don't always listen to us meaning a third party professional such as myself can be a useful way of improving communication.
I am a friendly, qualified and experienced tutor who can help your teenager understand the subject of Psychology and how to apply that to potentially get a good grade in their GCSE, AS or A2 exam. I specialise in AQA ,OCR and Edexcel.
My first degree was gained through the Open University while I continued to work full time. My Post Graduate qualifications include a Certificate & Diploma in Coaching; Psychometric Testing; ILM Certificate in First Line Management and Accredited Certificate in Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia. In August 2016 I completed my MSc in Applied Positive Psychology with the University of East London and achieved a Merit.
I have over 25 years’ experience working with children of all ages including teenagers. My qualifications and experience combine to create effective Teaching, Revision and Exam Techniques which I share with all my students.
I am passionate about:
- enabling people of all ages to be the best they can
I establish the learning style of each student which then enables me to tailor make my teaching in an appropriate way making the learning process more effective. It's a great advantage of 1 2 1 learning.
Prior to taking on a student, I like to meet them along with a parent. The purpose of this is to check that we all get on and that both they like the learning environment.
